Most newspaper software is built by tech companies that have never had to stare down a layout deadline or handle a furious call from a subscriber who missed their paper.
Community Journalism Project (CJP) is different. Our platform was built by publishers, for publishers. It was created by a real, operating newspaper group (Lewis County Press) to solve the very problems that keep you up at night.
Why We Built This
We were tired of the “Publisher’s Dilemma.”
- The Disconnect: Managing print lists and website logins in two different worlds.
- The Busywork: Stuffing renewal envelopes by hand instead of producing local news.
- The Tech Gap: Watching readers drift to social media because we lacked the tools to reach them there.
Our Mission
We decided to stop accepting the status quo. We built a unified system that handles the business of news so you can focus on the journalism of news.
What That Means For You
When you call us for support, you aren’t talking to a call center script-reader. You’re talking to a team that understands what a 3541 Postage Statement is and why it matters. We know that in this industry, every subscriber counts and every minute matters.
We’ve been in your shoes. Now, we want to help you run a better race.
